My name is Sharon El-Amin, and I’m running to be the next Hennepin County Commissioner for District 2 because I believe our best days are still ahead, and county government should help make that real. For more than 30 years, North Minneapolis has been my home, where I raised my children, built a small business, and learned what it means to show up for community. As a mother, community builder, and school board director, I’ve seen what’s possible when we match big vision with real follow-through. As your commissioner, I’ll focus on what changes lives: strong schools and families, real public safety, economic opportunity, housing stability, and transparent stewardship of every tax dollar.
